Jed Morris

Jed Morris is a US Air Force veteran, an operator, and the founder of Sunset Coast Partners. He spent ten years on active duty, earned his MBA at NYU Stern, and then did the thing everyone in the acquisition world talks about: he bought two businesses.

Eight months later they were gone, and he was holding over $1M in personally guaranteed debt. That failure, and the rebuild that followed, is the foundation of everything he makes now: the Still Searching with Jed Morris podcast, the Still Searching newsletter, the book Buyer Beware, and Searcher School.

His work is built on one conviction: buyers deserve the whole story, not the highlight reel. Of the failures he has studied, roughly 65 percent involve material seller fraud or misrepresentation. Somebody should tell you that before you sign, not after.
